This portable system is designed for experimental vehicle data acquisition. Opening the top cover reveals the sensor connection blocks. The quickly detachable "human interface module" (keyboard and display) can be located up to twelve feet away from the data acquisition pod. Quadruple-redundant fans provide for reliable use in extremely hot environments. The system includes plug-in ac-input or dc-input power drawers for use either from the power mains or from a local battery. The system underwent extensive shock and vibration testing to insure reliability. The top and human interface module can be closed into just one unit that can be stored in a canvas bag and carried with the supplied shoulder strap.
