Zendex

The ZXPC-5310 display terminal is a computer terminal display unit. It accepts ASCII characters and displays them on the EL screen. The unit uses a 512 by 256 dot screen and can show up to 21 lines of 64 characters across. The IBM line drawing characters, extended codes 179 through 223 are also supported. Various ANSI escape code sequences are supported. In addition, some control codes are used for individual pixel control and line drawing routines for graphics applications. The unit incorporates an IR touch screen interface for user input. the IR array is a physical LED matrix of 8 by 16 with a resolution of 15 by 31. The display area is defined by 80 characters with 25 lines. Each character is contained in a cell of 6 by 10 pixels. Therefore, there are 480 pixels across the screen that can be individually addressed and controlled.
